Milano Hi-End 2000 2nd Ed. - Milan - Italy

[Italian version]

What seemed a new Audio event doomed to failure (Audio-only and, hear hear! NO Home Theater!!!) is now ready for its second edition instead, with more expositors and listening rooms...
So it seems there's still hope for us who believe HiFi isn't just a spin-off of Home Theater. This is relieving, to say the least, especially considering the bigger ex-Top Audio has now become Top Audio & Video (more Video than Audio, actually).

Everything will happen near Milan (Assago - Milanofiori, Strada 1 - Milanofiori, tangenziale Ovest, uscita Milanofiori) the 17th and the 18th of February 2001 at the Centro Congressi Milanofiori - Jolly Hotel. Opening hours: from 9:00 to 6:00 pm, free entrance, Vintage HiFi expo and 14 listening rooms:

Aloia - Omicron Group (Stargate, White Gold) - AM Audio - Labor Limae - Vintage HiFi - Kiom (Chiomenti) - Max Research (M. Piantini) - Audeus (brands: Wilson Benesch, Transfiguration etc.) - New Audio Frontiers - Studio Progettazione Audio - Nadir - EMGI Audio - Morsiani - The Sound of the Valve (Lowther) - Music Tools (in other room).

Furthermore there will be static expositions from:

Magazines: FdS - CHF - Suono - Audiophile Sound - CD Classica - Musica - Audion - Records: Red Records - Fone' (demo SACD vs 180 g. vinyl) - HiFi Companies: North Star - Torlai (pick-ups) - HiFi Carucci (Antique Sound Labs - Lehmann) - Audio Plus - Studio M (Jordan etc.) - Carrara Giovanni (TA & TU) - Norma - Relco Audio.

Like in the first edition (March 2000) the organizers have paid attention to the quality of the sound into the rooms, using acoustic corrections so to get the best results out of any HiFi system. Also, thanks to the fact no Home Theater rooms will be allowed, your listening tests won't be disturbed by dinosaurs or Tom Cruise's walking near you.
The leading Italian HiFi magazines will attend too and also TNT-Audio will hopefully be there, so to tell you what's going on in Italy.
