Subwoofer
Hi Lucio,
Trust you are doing great. I am on course to making at DIY Sealed subwoofer using a locally available Dayton RSS265HF-4 (10 inch) driver and Hypex DS4.0 plate amplifier. I located an old school friend to make the cabinet for me (he runs a woodworking - metalworking business) and the cost is turning out to be rather affordable. Currently, the cabinets are being cut (16 by 16 by 21 inch deep). The cabinet has an internal sealed enclosure to house the DS4.0 plate amplifier and hence the 4 inches extra depth. Hope it will sing well with the fast mid-woofer of the Merlins.
I plan to take connections from the speaker terminals of the Nait 5i and feed it to the High Level inputs on the plate amp.
Will send you some pics soon...

Dear Makesh,
good luck with your DIY plans! The only problem you can encounter is finding the perfect blend with your Merlin monitors. You will need many trial & error sessions, I guess. Remember that the ideal subwoofer shouldn't be clearly audible. It adds weight and depth but it should be totally invisible.
Keep us updated!

Arcam mini blink VS Rblink
Dear Andy,
I love to read all you reviews and I have read the Arcam mini Blink review too. As I was buying on Amazon at the price of 122 euros (88 pounds), I saw that the Arcam Rblink is on sale always on Amazon at 139 euro (100.5 pounds). When you wrote your review the difference was much higher: do you think that at this price the Rblink would be a good choice? Have you ever listened to it?
Thanks for your attention!
Bye,

Hi Massimo,
Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed the review. I haven't listened to the RBlink but it's basically the same device as the miniBlink with a coaxial output to use a separate DAC. And it doesn't look as sweet - but I doubt if that's a major consideration. The coaxial output means you can use it to add Bluetooth to your existing and future DACs. You also get the RCA outputs if you want to connect straight to the amp. If it was me I'd go for the RBlink.

Water Lily Acoustics
Hi Arvind,
I read your nice review of "Ali Akbar Khan & Swapan Chaudhuri - Indian Architexture". I am a huge fan of Water Lily and Kavi myself and I've heard most of their albums (I use a Woo Audio 2 tube amp and Beyer T1s). Unfortunately, WLA has stopped producing recordings because of lack of funding - which is sad for Indian classical music enthusiasts - because there is so little in the way of Indian audiophile music to begin with.
Kavi is a personal friend of mine, and wants to reach out to the government of India for funding. If you know anyone who could help Kavi, I'll ask him to contact you. I am sure you already know Kavi from your interview in 2006.
Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards,

Hello Ajay,
Yes, I do know Kavi personally now. And we do keep in touch periodically. Unfortunately, I cannot think of what the best channel would be to put together this funding. Perhaps some of our readers may see this letter and respond with ideas.
